ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Both the buyer and the seller have the option [to complete the sale or rescind it], as long as they have not yet parted ways nor finalized the sale." When Ibn-'Umar bought something while sitting down, he would stand up in order to confirm his purchase (1). Footnotes: (1) Standing up would signal the end of negotiations and thus render the option to rescind no longer valid. ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب السير باب ما جاء فى خروج النساء فى الحرب

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ هِلاَلٍ الصَّوَّافُ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الضُّبَعِىُّ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَغْزُو بِأُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَنِسْوَةٍ مَعَهَا مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ يَسْقِينَ الْمَاءَ وَيُدَاوِينَ الْجَرْحَى. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذٍ. وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ.
The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to go to battle accompanied by Umm-Sulaym and a group of women from Al-Anṣār (Supporters of Madīnah) who provided drinking water and nursed the wounded. Click on ḥadīth to read more
